While I may have given him his own name, I designed my fursona to just be me in an anthro hyena form. He's the same height as me, wears glasses like me, and lives the same life as me. If I could get a fursuit of him, I'd want it to be almost skin tight just so it's as close to me as possible.
I chose a hyena because after watching the Lion King as a kid, I wondered what real hyenas were like. When I looked them up and heard that laugh for the first time, I fell in love. I even had a hyena cackle as my **** message tone all through high school. I love smiling, I love laughing, and I love the joy they invoke in me. And I wanted my character to embody that feeling.

My name's Van and I'm a transman with a bit of a Star Trek obsession. I'm a full-time professional remote artist for a studio that lets me work wherever my computer gets internet, which makes my van-life possible. Currently living with family in Houston, Texas, moving my set up from the car I lived in for over 3 years to the high-roof cargo van I'm building a living space in, and hopefully heading back out on the road before the end of the year.
One of my favorite side-gigs is drawing furry art (usually nsfw), but I'll hold off sharing that until we get to know each other lol. My fursona is a hyena, but I'm keeping that art account separate for privacy, so I won't post him here. But if we become close friends, I'll share him with you.
